One of my favorite books is Karol Truman’s Feelings Buried Alive Never Die. The premise of the book is that when we repress our feelings and do not adequately address them, they get our attention through physical ailments. Repressed emotions will get your attention one way or another.
For many years I repressed by emotions until I was introduced to energy work by Carolyn Cooper, the founder of the SimplyHealed MethodTM. At the time I was doing some marketing for Carolyn through my IdeaMarketers.com web site. I interviewed Carolyn several times for my podcast and found what she did intriguing. But I had not experienced energy work first-hand.
Then, Carolyn heard through a mutual friend that I was dealing with a difficult challenge. Carolyn graciously reached out and offered to do a complimentary session. To say the session was effective would be an understatement. The results were life altering – for the good.
From this point forward, I wanted to learn more about energy work and started doing sessions with one of the women who worked in Carolyn’s office. Eventually, I became certified in Carolyn Cooper’s SimplyHealed MethodTM and have integrated it into the consulting work I do with my business clients. For years I’d advise my clients on things they could do to move forward in their businesses. But I sensed many times that they would not follow through. They were too stuck behind emotional baggage, self-doubts or other immobilizing beliefs. Consulting became frustrating for me, and for a time I stopped doing it. When I learned how to do energy work, I was able to help my clients move past those blocks so they could implement the ideas we planned for their businesses.
Time and again, I have seen that many of the physical ailments that I and my clients deal with root back to emotions that we have stuffed, not fully addressed, or processed. Feelings Buried Alive Never Die explains the emotional-body connection and also acts as a quick reference guide. You can look up hundreds of things that can go wrong with the body and discover the root emotions and beliefs that are contributing to the problem. You address the emotion and many times the physical ailment disappears.
Feelings Buried Alive Never Die a reference book I rarely take off my desk or travel without. It’s available on Amazon here.
